Core Privacy Philosophy: Days Without is built around private personal recovery. We do not sell your data, we display zero advertisements, and we do not have public social feeds. Your habit milestones and trigger journals belong exclusively to you.
1. Information We Collect
To provide synchronization across your devices, Days Without securely stores the following data when you create an account:
- Account Details: Your email address and basic profile information provided through Email Sign-Up or Google OAuth.
- Habit Tracking Data: Habit names, motivation statements ("Why"), start timestamps, personal best streaks, and relapse trigger notes that you record.
- Device Push Tokens: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) registration tokens to deliver optional streak milestone alerts and daily reminders.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to:
- Calculate and present your clean streaks, recovery density, and milestones.
- Synchronize your habit journey across your signed-in devices via Google Firebase.
- Send requested notifications (e.g. daily check-ins and milestone celebrations).
3. Data Storage & Security
All data is transmitted securely over HTTPS encryption and stored using Google Firebase Firestore and Authentication located in secure data centers. Access to your personal data requires authenticated access via your account credentials.
4. Third-Party Services
Days Without uses Google Firebase infrastructure to operate:
- Firebase Authentication: Manages sign-in tokens securely.
- Firebase Cloud Firestore: Real-time database hosting habit records.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): Delivers push notifications.
We do not use any third-party advertising SDKs or data brokers.
5. Data Deletion & Your Rights
You have full ownership of your data. You can delete individual habits at any time within the app. To delete your entire account and all associated Firestore records permanently, visit our Account Deletion Page or click "Delete Account" in the Account settings.
